Agnes served along with her husband, J.W. Brown, as he pastored several churches in MS prior to serving as missionaries in Sicily, Italy and upstate New York. She spent the remainder of her time as a faithful supporter of Old Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She had a wonderful faithful prayer life. Every night as she laid in her bed she would talk with her Heavenly Father. She would call by name everyone she could remember and would pray specifically for them and especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to have a healthy and happy life. She thanked God for her salvation and always ended with I love you, Jesus.
Agnes had a gift for taking a meal planned for 2 and stretching it to feed several. She loved her desserts better than any food. She loved to read all books especially the Bible which she read in its entirety numerous times.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. J.W. Brown; father, Will Brown; mother, Virgie Johnson Brown; brothers, J. D. King, James King and Fred King.
Survivors include her sons, James Brown (Kay) and Donald Brown (Lynn); daughter, Diane Hinton; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Brown, Stephen Brown, Mike Hinton, Jason Hinton, Patrick Hinton, Chad Seals, and Josh Watters.
