Lawrence M. "Booster" Turnage, 94 of Laurel, MS passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born Saturday, April 7, 1928, in Bentonia, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 12:30PM until 1:30PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 1:30PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Bro. Scott Stringer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Shearer Turnage; parents, Thomas Eugene Turnage Sr. and Abbie Sue Galloway Turnage, sisters, Dee Adams, Helen Hood.

Survivors include his daughter, Diane Courtney; grandchildren, Amberlee Butler (David), Shasta Roberson (Brian), great-grandchildren, Hunter Scrimpshire (Summer), Dillon Scrimpshire (Shauna), Courtney Roberson, great-great-grandchildren, Izzy Scrimpshire, Annastyn Scrimpshire, Colter Scrimpshire, Lucy Faye Scrimpshire, sister, Porter "Sport" Vandevere, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Scrimpshire, Dillon Scrimpshire, Brian Roberson, Ladell Hill, Danny Bush and Phillip Pope.

Honorary pallbearers will be Boolie Adams, Glenn Hood and Kenny Hood.
