Leonard Kye Busby IV
September 1, 1979-April 25, 2024
Kye, a unique individual, was suddenly taken to heaven on Thursday, April 25th, at his aunt's residence to join his father, Leonard "Bubba" Busby III. He left his earthly broken body just as his father did; they are both now fully restored and rejoined in Heaven, celebrating with Jesus! Kye leaves behind a legacy of love and sound principle's as well as his two awesome sons, who will live on to make him proud!
This article was proudly placed in Kye's office as his life's guiding principle.
"Sword & Trowel"
Nehemiah was a brave leader who was tasked by God to rebuild the Jerusalem walls that had been destroyed during the Babylonian Conquest. Each day Nehemiah and his team were faced with opposition and hostility from the surrounding nations who did not want to see them succeed. However, Nehemiah completed his task in just 52 days by empowering each family to trust in the power of the Lord by reminding them "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes." Neh 4:14
What Nehemiah would tell the people next has had a profound meaning for me. "From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and a had a weapon with the other, and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked." Neh 4:16-18a
We all have a wall in our lives that needs building. Building our wall comes with cost and opposition. We need to be brave, wise, and calculated and always keep our eyes on the task ahead. We also must be ready to defend what matters most. We are called to carry a sword in one hand and a trowel in the other.
The double headed eagle holding the sword and trowel represents the joining of two forces; build and protect. The crest on its chest blazes the wall that we each have to build. Display this as a reminder to yourself, your neighbors and loved ones that you know your purpose and that you will fight to protect them. "TheNeoMag.com"
