Leroy Mitchell Creel, 53, of Taylorsville, MS passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at his residence in Taylorsville, MS. He was born Saturday, October 24, 1970 in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. The Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

Mitchell loved saltwater fishing. For most of his life, he worked in the transportation industry as a truckdriver. Mitchell dearly loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Creel.

Survivors include his wife, Shawn Pruitt Creel; sons, Justin Creel, Dalton Creel (Kelsey Ishee) and Aaron Haigler (Chasity Wilkerson); daughters, Jenny Creel and Brittani Hutto (Jared); mother, Charlotte Smith Creel; sister, Tonjia King (Richard); as well as eight grandchildren and a host of friends.
