Linda "Joan" Bowlin Thompson

November 27, 1944 – May 29, 2025

Linda Joan Bowlin Thompson, of Jayess, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 27, 1944, in Jayess, she lived a life full of love, resilience, and compassion.

Joann was a woman of quiet strength and endless generosity. Throughout her life, she worked tirelessly to support her family through various jobs, but her favorite role was serving others as a non-emergency transport professional. She took great pride in caring for people, always seeing the good in everyone she met.

Her heart of gold was known to all who loved her. Whether caring for family or doting on her cherished Pomeranian puppies, whom she treated like her children, Joann's love knew no bounds. She touched many lives with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering belief in the goodness of others.

Joann was preceded in death by her beloved father Benjamin Bowlin, mother Lucia Bowlin, husband Jimmy Rudolph Alexander, son Jimmy Randall "Randy" Alexander, daughter Tammy Jo Alexander, and brother Woodrow Alexander.

She is survived by her devoted brother Jerry Bowlin (his wife Nettie Charlene), and her daughters Angela "Angie" Alexander, Carmen Rowzee (Malcolm), and Nicole "Niki" Rogers. Daughter-in-law Judy "Kay" Alexander. Her memory lives on in her grandchildren Danielle Alexander, Harleigh Lopez,(Richie), Wyatt Howell, Destiny Mellow, Marissa Rogers, and Sarah Rogers; and great-grandchildren Kaylen Harrison and Barrett Lopez. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A graveside service will be held on June 2, 2025, at 10:00AM at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, Mississippi, where Joann will be laid to rest beside her first love, her son, and her daughter.

Joann's love and legacy will live on in all those who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Pallbearer will be Malcolm Rowzee, Wyatt Howell, Danielle Alexander, Richie Lopez, Woodrow Alexander, Ethan Letchworth
