Linda Sue Jackson, 74, of Laurel, MS, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024. She was born Sunday, January 1, 1950 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Rd. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM. The burial will take place in Indian Springs Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Bro. Nathan Brown will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

Linda was a graduate of North East Jones High School and later attended Jones County Junior College where she studied nursing. She made her career at South Central Regional Medical Center as a nurse for 20 years. Linda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Albert E. Chandler; mother, Lela R. Blackledge Chandler; brothers, Rayborn Chandler, Dennis Chandler (Margie); sisters, Ruby Livingston (Raymond), and Maxine Dunston (Barney).

Survivors include her daughter, Shannon White (Shane); brothers, Jack Chandler (Kaye), Dean Chandler and Michael Chandler (Tammie); sister, Shirley Rush; grandsons, Brandon Welborn (Daniela Moreno) and Justin Welborn (Kayla); great-grandchildren, Jackson Welborn, Paisley Welborn and Colton Welborn, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Gary Dunston, Mark Dunston, Tad Morgan, Jeff Stephens, Brian Dunston and Reggie Holifield.
