Loyd Henry McGee, 75, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed to his heavenly home on April 13th 2019 at 3:37pm on Saturday evening. He was born Wednesday, May 19, 1943.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville. The Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Bro Tim McNeil will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564.

Mr. McGee collected rare coins, fished, woodworked, and hunted, He also was a avid gun collector. He loved get togethers and studying the living word. He was a member of the Church of Christ located in Bay Springs. He also was a proud member of the Navy where he served two years in Vietnam and received multiple medals including the Purple Heart. He a father and provider always put others before himself. He was a loyal friend and neighbor who would help anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by wife, Carrie Pardue McGee; son, Keith McGee; parents, Andrew McGee and Mary McGee;; brothers, Andrew (Andy) McGee and Billy McGee; sister, Lena McGee Thoms.

Survivors include his daughters, Carrie McGee and Christi McGee Rush Welden Stevens Thorton.... son, Loyd Shane McGee; grandchildren, Brittany Rush, W.T. Weldon, Ivory Weldon, Ben McGee, Cain McGee, Isaac McGee, Ethan McGee, Reese McGee, and Jason McDonald; a number of great-grandchildren; brother, William McGee; sister, Mary (Dusty) Lloyd; a host of nieces and nephews; an many friends and colleagues.
