Mary Katherine Bishop, 77, of Laurel, MS, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm , on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Mrs. Bishop was known as having a strong love for her family, and for caring for the needs of all with whom she was associated. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge 414 of Hattiesburg.. Mrs. Bishop is preceded in death by her parents, Amos Winfred and Daisy Ishee; her husband, R. J. Bishop, and brother Paul Ishee. Survivors Include daughters Gerry Whited (Tommy), Laurel, MS, Glinda Causey, Baton Rouge, La , and Sandie Davis, Baton Rouge, La; son James Bishop, Laurel, Ms, Will Bishop (Lisa), Moss, Ms, David Bishop (Bobbie), Bakersfield, Ca; brother A.W. Ishee (Norma), Laurel, Ms; grandchildren Lisa Babin (Ty), Baton Rouge, Ms, Christy Haven (Dewey), Bay Springs, Ms, Julene Bishop, Laurel, Ms, Tommy Whited (Alisha), Virginia,Il., R.J. Bishop, Laurel, Ms, Macey Bishop (Gina), Bakersfield, Ca, Christopher Bishop, Bakersfield, Ca, Britany Bishop, Bakersfield, Ca, Lexie Bishop, Moss, Ms, Tasha Bishop, Slidell, La, Mary Ann Bishop, Lufkin, Tx; and 10 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Ty Babin, Shawn Babin, Hunter Babin, Macey Bishop, Chris Higgins, Kevin Busby and Gerry Whited .
