Mary Catherine Breazeale, 72, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born on June 21, 1952, in Bay Springs, Mississippi, Mary, affectionately known as Cathy, was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, known for her unselfish nature and as the glue that held her family together.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Pam Yates and Paula Landrum (Larry), and her cherished grandchildren, Mikel Landrum, Alex Fisher (Dillon), Larry Landrum, Jr. (Breiauna), Brittany Harrison (William), Justin Yates (Jessica), Josh Yates (Madison), Hannah Yates, Brayden Yates and Bryan Odom. She also leaves behind her brother, Billy Ray Rayner, and sisters, Faye Lancaster, Ann Corley, and Betty Sue Walters (Marvin), along with a host of great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Conrad Breazeale, her son, Johnny Yates, her mother, Carrie May Westbrook Rayner, her brother, Lloyd Rayner, her sister, Shirley Yates, and her great-grandchild, Jonathan Mercer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the same location, with Bro. Eddy Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Pallbearers will include William Harrison, Mikel Landrum, Larry Landrum Jr., Josh Yates, Shawn Watts, and Braxton Landrum, with Clayton Watts serving as an honorary pallbearer.
