Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Mary Frances Rodgers Davis, 92 of Laurel, who passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Reverend Harold Floyd and Reverend Ken Riley will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Timothy Davis, Michael Davis, Micheal Davis, Josh Davis, Justin Davis, Jimmy Davis Jr., Andrew Davis, Chad Davis, and Jeffrey Davis. Mrs. Davis was born on February 9, 1925 in Paulding, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Davis retired from the West Jones High School after twenty plus years of service as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Emily Murray Rodgers; her husband, William Talmadge Davis; a daughter, Cindy Davis; a grandson, Corey Davis; and four sisters, Christine Stringer, Rena Harmon, Nell Cain, and Delores Rodgers. Survivors include four sons, Jimmy Davis (Sherrie), and Phil Davis (Calone), all of Brandon, Larry Davis of Mobile, Alabama, and Rodge Davis of Moselle; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
