Maurice Mosley Lansdale, 86 of Laurel, MS passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Lynnwood Assisted Living in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Friday, April 9, 1937.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, Visitation will be from 12:00P.M. until 1:00P.M. with services to follow at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness on Wansley Rd in Laurel, MS. Mickey Robinson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

Maurice was affectionally called Reesie by those who knew and loved her. Until her health failed, she was an active member for over 50 years at the Kingdom Hall of Laurel as one of Jehovah witness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Lansdale, Jr.; son, Michael Shane Lansdale; father, Ardis Cleveland Mosley; mother, Bertha Steverson Keown; brother, Cleveland Bryant "Bill" Mosley; step-father, Fred Keown; brother-in-law, Charlie Huitt.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Lansdale (Elizabeth) of Laurel, MS; brother, John Mosley (Charlotte) of Laurel; sisters, Carol Huitt of Moore, South Carolina and Annie Bryant (Howard) of Ellisville; sister-in-law, Margaret Mosley of Jackson.
