Michael Jones Perry Sr., 78, of Laurel, MS passed away Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born Saturday, January 15, 1944 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel, MS. Bro. Wayne Blackledge and Bro. Doug Blackledge will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

Mike loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending his time fishing at the lake.  He was also a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester T. Perry;  mother, Jewel Jones Beck;  brothers, Lester "Sonny" Perry Jr. and James Perry.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Blackledge Perry;  son, Michael Jay Perry Jr.;  daughters, Charlotte Burnham  (David) and Tony Nicole McDowell (Michael);  sisters, Rita Reddoch, Ida Faye Miller and Mary Hardy. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
