Mitchell Wayne Jones, 66, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, in Florida. Born on September 13, 1958, in Laurel, Mississippi. Mitchell was a beloved son, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his mother, Zola Bland Holifield, and his sisters, Brenda Hand (Tommy) and Deborah Smith. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Jones, and his brother, Patrick Jones.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church, located at 35 Trinity Church Rd, Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location, with Bro. Stevie Hand officiating. Burial will take place at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel is handling the arrangements.

Mitchell will be remembered fondly by his family and friends, who will serve as pallbearers in his honor.
