Myrtle Lee Dykes, 89 of Taylorsville, MS passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born Thursday, September 19, 1935, in Jones County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 9:30AM until 10:30AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel in 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 11:00AM at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro Chad Cummins will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Vickie Ainsworth and Gloria Kay Dykes; Parents Tim Holifield and Maudie Mae Parker Holifield; brothers, Buddy Holifield and Hillman Holifield; sister, Jewel Windham.

Survivors include her sons, Donnie Dykes (Karen) and Gary Dykes; daughter, Cynthia Browning (Dewayne); A host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; brother, Harold Holifield; sister, Hazel Knight.

Pallbearers will be Gary Dykes, Timmy Dykes, Shawn Cook, James McClain, Noah Loper, and Chole Loper.
