Nancy Waltz Brown, of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at South Central Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 17, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, and friend whose kindness, strength, and love for her family touched all who knew her.

A dedicated nurse for more than 30 years, Nancy was a caregiver at heart and a source of comfort to countless patients and families throughout her career. She was a teacher and healer to many, sharing her knowledge, compassion, and gentle spirit with everyone whose lives she touched. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and created a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion that will be remembered for generations.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Joe Brown; her children, William Brown, Jimmy Kimbell, Jeff Kimball, Charlie Ray, Angie Lay, and Kerry (Brown) Ehrensberger; her great-grandchildren, Bella Rose Beasley and Sean Connor Beasley; ten additional grandchildren; five additional great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

The family will announce memorial service arrangements at a later date. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of South Central Regional Medical Center for the compassionate care provided during Nancy's final days.
