Oliver Joseph Ramagos Jr., a devoted husband, father, cherished Papa, and beloved friend, peacefully departed from this life at his residence in Soso, MS on the 30th of April, 2024.

OJ entered the world on July 2, 1942, in Morganza, LA, born to Oliver and Adele Ramagos. Growing up as one of nine siblings, he spent his childhood roaming the roads of Louisiana and spending time on his beloved Mississippi River. During his teenage years, OJ made his way to Mississippi, where he put down roots, built a family, and became a cherished friend to all who crossed his path. Serving his nation with valor, he bravely served in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Navy, earning the prestigious Purple Heart for his dedication. Throughout his life, OJ engaged in various occupations, from the oil fields to the poultry industry, and always extending a helping hand to his community. Yet, his true passion lay in the great outdoors, where he found much happiness in hunting and fishing. Above all else, OJ's heart belonged to his beloved wife, Patricia, and his cherished family. Renowned for his captivating storytelling and genuine friendship, OJ's absence will be deeply felt by all whose lives he touched.

Preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Adele Ramagos, two brothers Kermit and Neal Ramagos, two sisters Nadine Gabor and Ann Chenevert, and his son Dustin Cranford, OJ is survived by his devoted wife Patricia Ramagos and four children: Caroline Walters (Tim), Finee Ruffin (Thomas), Dwayne Walker (Leigh), and Deborah Yates. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter carried on by his seven grandchildren: Lane, Nick, Rayne, Rafe, Sean, Walker, and Victoria. OJ is also survived by his brothers Thomas and Marshall Ramagos, sisters Pam LeCoq and Susie Vosburg, mother-in-law Ovene Jefcoat, brothers-in-law Wayne (Erin) and Donald (Marschell), sister-in-law Virginia (Raymond), and numerous cherished great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
