Omie Ercle "Buddy" Myers, Jr., 76 of Laurel, MS passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born Tuesday, October 7, 1947, in Meridian, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Life Church in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00AM at Life Church in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow in Myrick Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Bro. Josh Fletcher and Bro. Howard Overby will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

Buddy first and foremost loved the Lord and teaching the Word. If you ever sit down and talked to Buddy, you would hear about Jesus. He adored his wife and children. He loved his family dearly. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye.

He was preceded in death by his son, Shea Michael Myers;  father, Omie Ercle Myers, Sr.;  mother, Elsie Stephens Myers;  brother, Stephen David Myers.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Sonja Parker Myers,  sons, Sean Myers (Jennifer), Joey Taylor (Kelly);  daughters, Misty Moore (Robby), Lauree Ward (Clyne), Sara Hester (Shayne) and Carrie Shearer (Kelby);  grandchildren, Chandler Myers, Caleb Myers, Shai Harper (Tyler), Brooke Moore, Noah Moore, Bryce Ward (Priscilla), Carson Ward, Mollie Williams (Stephan), Tessa Segrest (Ty), Hunter Holifield, Dustin Ledet, Abbie Ledet, Zach Taylor, Willow Taylor, JoJo Taylor, Adalynn Taylor, Ayedin Taylor, Kady Taylor, Zoey Taylor, Beau Reeves, Billy Reeves and Braxston Shearer;  and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Bill Myers (Teri).

Pallbearers will be Chandler Myers, Caleb Myers, Bryce Ward, Carson Ward, Tyler Harper, and Robby Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Moore.
