Patricia Ann Wheeler Dowden, 75, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, October 10, 1942 in Marshall, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will follow at11:00 AM. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery. Dr. Frankie Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564

Pat and Claude were married on Friday, June 9, 1961. Saturday would have been their 57th anniversary. She worked at various vocations before she became a nurse. She was a stay at home mom until her children reached high school. She and Claude raised two daughters, Kim and Krys. They were blessed with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the first nurse hired at Comfort Care Nursing Center when the facility opened and she worked there until her retirement in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Meneva Laws Wheeler.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Dowden, Taylorsville, MS; daughters, Kim Adrion (Rick), Taylorsville, MS and Krystal Flynt (Greg), Taylorsville, MS; grandchildren, Heather Flynt, Alyssa Adrion and Brianna Adrion and great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brysen Adrion.

Pallbearers will be Rick Adrion, Greg Flynt, Charles Greer, Howell Brown, Gary Carpenter and Harris Hankins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Fellowship Class of First Baptist Church of Taylorsville and The Mens Friday Bible Group.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
