R. Wayne Graham, 80 of Laurel, MS passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, October 12, 1943, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Bethlehem Community Church in 849 Lake Como Road, Laurel, MS. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 02, 2024, at 11:00AM in Bullock Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi.

Bro. Jamie Altman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

Wayne loved farming and all things outdoors.  He was well known for his hunting and gaited horses.  He knew a little bit about everything but his knowledge of hunting and horses couldn't be matched.  He shared his skills with anyone who asked.  He was also happy to share his bounty from hunting or gardening.  He built several wagons that were his pride and joy.

Wayne worked 28 years at WDAM retiring to grow chickens, horses, and mules on his family's home place.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Graham; mother, Eva Johnson Graham; sisters, Margaret Knotts and Mary Catherine Graham.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Judy Nix Graham; son, Brian Kenney (Kim); daughters, Nikki Moss (Moody), Michelle Smith (Jimmy) and Greta Byrd (Dion); grandchildren, Addie Moss, Graham Moss, Judge Moss, Katelyn Woodruff (Josh), Ashlyn Ulmer (Dawson), Conner Smith, Sarah Herrington (Brandon), Emily Branning, Ryleigh Kenney, Reagan Kenney and Zachary Kenney; sister, Cheryl Garvin (Carol) and 5- great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian Kenney, Moody Moss, Jimmy Smith, Brandon Evans, Conner Smith, and Jerry Welborn.
