Randle C. McCraw, 86, of Pachuta, MS, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Born on October 31, 1938, in McComb, Mississippi, Randle lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.
Randle was a longtime member of Mt. Vernon Church and attended Lake Eddins Community Church. He served his country in the National Guard. He was instrumental in establishing a volunteer fire department at Lake Eddins, where he served many years as a firefighter and later a first responder.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Linda Sue Walters McCraw, and his daughter, Karen Mosley, along with her husband Gary. Randle was a proud grandfather to Cody Mosley and his fiancé Haley Walters. He is also survived by his sister, Vida Nell Ingram, and sister-in-law's Jackie Waller, Joyce Myrick and her husband Douglas, and Tommie McCraw Welborn and her husband Don. Randle leaves behind a host of other nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly.
Randle was preceded in death by his son, Randle "Randy" C. McCraw Jr., his parents, Reuben C. and Wilma Windham McCraw, and his brother, Stanley McCraw.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Mt. Vernon Church, located at 839 Highway 15 South, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM and continue until 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Mt. Vernon Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. The services will be officiated by Bro. Davy Fenton, Bro. Paul Roney, and Bro. Eddie Edwards.
Pallbearers will include Bill Waller, Kevin Ingram, Oliver Joyner, W.H. Knight, Guy Morgan, and Jay Chapman. Honorary pallbearers will be Franklin Eddins, Tommy McLaurin, Keble Luter, Robert Buckalew, Charlie Chatham, Bruce McCraw, members of the Lake Eddins Fire Department and Lake Eddins First Responders.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support through this time.
Memorials can be made to Mt. Vernon Church building fund.
