R.L. Pitts' Obituary
R.L. Pitts, 82, of Ellisville, Mississippi, died Monday, December 2, 2019 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, September 9, 1937 in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel and the Burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. Bro. Roger Pruitt and Jeremy Beau Phillips will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton G. and Josie M. Pitts, son, Robert Lee Pitts, grandson, Kyle Pitts, brother, Kenny Bates, sister, Marie Sims.
Survivors include his grandson, Cody Pitts, and several great-grandchildren, sister, Shirley Phillips (Frank), brothers, Jim Pitts (Debbie), Glenn Pitts (Edna).
Pallbearers will be Jack Smith, Alvin Phillips, Jeremy Phillips, Ricky Dykes, Frankie Walters and Leroy Hamilton.
