Robert Earl Buxton Sr., 80, of Laurel, MS passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born Sunday, August 22, 1943 in Waynesboro, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lott Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Rev. Shaun Hinton will officiate. He was preceded in death by his father, Bodie S. Buxton, Sr.; mother, Ora B. Carpenter Buxton; sister, Barbara Faye Buxton; and brother, Bodie Buxton Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nancy Keith Buxton; daughter, Deborah Buxton Hanson; son, Robert "Reb" Buxton Jr.; sister, Patricia Buxton; sister-in-law, Jodie Buxton; brother-in-law's, David Keith (Terry), Jim Keith (Charlene), Phil Wells (Judy); nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Davy Keith, Phil Wells, Gathian Wells, Drew Wells, Chuck Brewer, and Matt Dunston.
