Robert Paul Tolbert, aged 71, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Born on February 7, 1953, in Jones County, Mississippi, Robert lived a life full of love and family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bobbie Jones Tolbert, and his parents, Charles J. Tolbert and Marie McDaniel Tolbert. Robert is survived by his step-son, Christopher Hester and his wife Jennifer, and his step-daughter, Michelle Murphy and her husband Johnny. He leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Hana Harper, Aleshia Watson, Victoria Hester, and Elizabeth Hester, as well as 9 great-grandchildren. His brothers, Harvey Tolbert and his wife Susan, and Howard Tolbert and his wife Elaine, along with his sisters, Audrey Crosby, Barbara Byrd, and Shirley Touchstone and her husband Tommy, also survive him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM at the same location, with Bro. Danny Stringer officiating. Robert will be laid to rest at Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellisville, MS.
