Robert Hillard Walker, 72, of Heidelberg, MS, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. Born on August 15, 1952, in Fort Benning, Georgia, Robert was a devoted family man who cherished his Lord, his wife, and his country and his Stetson. A proud US Army veteran, he traveled the world as a heavy machine operator.

He is survived by his step-son, Anthony Delk and Diane; his step-daughter, Kay Dykes and her husband Robert; and his beloved grandchildren, Bryan Delk, D.J. Todd and his wife Jordan, Breeona Jones and her husband Justin, Kay`ce Everett and her husband J.T., and Kimberly Hodges and her husband Zach. Robert also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Curtis Delk, Hollyn Todd, Riley Todd, Addie Hodges, Lexy Jones, GW Hodges, Henson Everett, Harvey Everett, and Braleigh Jones. He is also survived by his uncles, James R. Satcher and his wife Caldonia, John N. Satcher and his wife April, and Douglas K. Satcher.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audie Helen Creekmore Walker, his father, Karl Edward Walker, and his mother, Peggy Sue Satcher Walker.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location, with Preacher Hugh Acton officiating. Burial will take place at McFarland Cemetery in Heidelberg, Mississippi. Pallbearers will include D.J. Todd, J.T. Everett, Robert Dykes, and Keith W. Satcher, with honorary pallbearers Riley Todd, Henson Everett, Harvey Everett, Kevin S. Satcher, Johnathon Smith, Josh Satcher, Matthew Satcher, John Jr. Satcher, and Douglas Jr. Satcher.
