Roger L. Carr's Obituary
Roger L. Carr, 82, of Laurel, Mississippi, died Monday, January 11, 2021 at Laurel Wood Community Living Center in Laurel, MS. He was born Sunday, September 25, 1938 in Clark County, Mississippi.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Lawn Haven Cemetery and burial will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery. Bro. Chris Hodge will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342
Mr. Roger was a very interesting person. Roger was a faithful and committed worker in his church. He was known for his faith in the Lord, his service to the Lord, his love for others, and his love for the outdoors. Roger hiked over half of the Appalachian Trail. He was a long-distance runner and an avid cyclist. He stayed active cycling until the age of 80. He will be missed by his friends and church family.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and siblings.
