Obituary

Ronnie Hinton, 68, of Laurel, MS arrived at his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born Wednesday, January 25, 1956 in Laurel, Mississippi.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi. An additional time of visitation will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM until the Funeral service begins at 11:00 AM at Pine Ridge Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Brandon Wilson and Bro. Rick Moore will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342


Ronnie will be joyfully remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a faithful friend. He met the love of his life, Patricia Ann McNeill, when he they were still in high school. The two were married and blessed with three children: Chris, Eric and Brandi. He loved his family dearly and raised them all to love each other. When he wasn't hard at work, he enjoyed spending time fishing, riding the trails in his horse-pulled wagon and telling people about the Lord. Ronnie also loved Pine Ridge Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a Deacon and provided a constant source of strength and encouragement to the ministry there. Ronnie loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and strived to display that in his daily life. Ronnie was greatly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.


He was preceded in death by his parents, D. C. and Bettie Sue Hinton; as well as one sister, Sherry Youngblood.


Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia Hinton; sons, Chris Hinton (Jana) and Eric Hinton (Ashley); daughter, Brandi Easterling (Benji); sisters, Dedra Shelton (Scott) and Tammy Ladner (Richard); grandsons, Cade Hinton (Emilee), Bryce Easterling (Lexi Waldrup), Taylor Clark (Brianna) and Trey Clark (Olivia West); granddaughters, Kaylei Hinton, Kiley Hinton and Sydney Owens; great grandchildren, Collins Hinton, Braxten Clark, Brayten Clark and Henley Clark; brother-in-law, Kenny Youngblood as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.


Pallbearers will be Chris Hinton, Eric Hinton, Bryce Easterling, Trey Clark, Taylor Clark and Cade Hinton.


Honorary pallbearers will be P.T. Ray, Ray Holifield, Al "Lil Al" Roberts" and Ryan "Jackrabbit" Miller.


Special music will be performed by Sandy Hearn, Karen Hearn, and Trey Clark.
