Kay was one of the sweetest and most generous people you will ever meet. You knew she loved you just by being in her presence. And you couldn’t help but love her back. Even at the end of her life, she was still sharing the gospel and all the hugs and kisses you wanted with those caring for her. She was a hard worker and worked two jobs for many years to care for her three children. She had a fierce love for them and did anything she could to care for them. She enjoyed taking care of her many plants and her beloved cat, Cricket! She also enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the world. She fished and hunted with him for many years as well until her health did not allow her to continue. She was diagnosed 15 years ago with COPD. She fought a good fight and enjoyed a good quality of life until the end. Kay held on to her faith in her Lord Jesus until the very last breath. Often singing hymns in her hospital bed and requesting others sing to her.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of South Central Regional Medical Center of Laurel. Your compassion, care and overall excellent service during this most difficult time was beyond any expectations we may have had, and we thank you for that.
