SHERRY GWEN ROWELL

September 30, 1960 - August 7, 2025

Sherry Gwen Rowell passed away at her home in Soso on August 7, 2025, at the age of 64. She was born on September 30, 1960, to Dee Parker, Jr and Geraldine Everett Parker. She was a member of Salem Heights Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Butch" Rowell, father Dee Parker, Jr., Paternal Grandparents Rev Dee Parker, Sr. and Vernetta Hollomon Parker, Maternal Grandparents Joseph "JC" Everette and Vernon Katy West Chandler. She is also preceded in death by brother Joseph "Joey" Parker, nephew Jonathan Parker and brother-in-law Terry Stakes.

She is survived by her children, Adam Rowell (Monica) and Justin Rowell. Grandchildren Bailey, Drake, and Easton Rowell and Jazzlen Rowell. Mother Geraldine Parker, Brothers Will Parker, Walter Parker (Susan), and John Parker. Sisters Cindy Stakes and Tammi Walters (David) and sister-in-law Dana Parker and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10:00AM at Lebanon Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi. Burial will also be at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Brent Benson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.
