Shirley Louise Gatlin, 79, of Heidelberg, MS passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at her residence in Heidelberg, MS. She was born Thursday, September 21, 1944 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church in Heidelberg, MS. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church. The burial will then take place in the church cemetery. Bro. Brent Benson and Bro. Troy Hobson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Louise Satcher; brothers, Donald Satcher, and Richard Satcher.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Donald Gatlin; son, Timothy Gatlin (Tonya); daughter, Sonya Welch (Kerry); brother, George Satcher (Jaymie Woodard); grandsons, Kerry Welch Jr. (Sheridan) and Kai Welch; granddaughter, Savannah Gatlin; sister-in-law, Jennifer Satcher as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Welch Jr., Kai Welch, Tony Satcher, Craig Satcher, Brent Ball, David Stroud, and Austin Carter.
