Shirley Ann Jenrette, 73, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, February 14, 2025. Born on June 10, 1951, in Laurel, Mississippi, Shirley spent her life surrounded by the love of her family and community.

She is survived by her son, Jay Welborn and his wife Darla, her daughter Amanda Jenrette, and her cherished grandchildren, Jace Welborn, Jordanna Welsh, and Joyleigh Welsh. Shirley also leaves behind five siblings who will miss her dearly.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gentry and Willa Mae Street Gentry, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, MS, with Bro. Russ Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at the same location. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.

Pallbearers will be Chance Bufkin, Payton Bufkin, Jace Welborn, Shannon Bauer, Quincy Welsh, and Jason Ford.
