Sue Carolyn Welborn, affectionately known as Carol, passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on July 27, 1952, in Jasper County, Mississippi, she was a beloved resident of Stringer, MS. Carol was a devoted Christian who cherished her faith, family, and art, bringing light and joy to every room she entered.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Brittany Carole Oshkeshequoam and her husband Mitch, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Presley Oshkeshequoam, Lily Shinn, and Harlee Shinn. Carol is also survived by her brother, Gary Dale Atkins and his wife Diane, and her sister, Barbara J. Kelly Sims. She was preceded in death by her son, Darren Shinn, and her parents, Carl B. Welborn and Bertie May Rogers Welborn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Fair Ridge Baptist Church in Stringer, MS, with visitation from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00PM. Burial will take place at Fair Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Paul Matte and Bro. Steve Holloway will officiate the services. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.

Carol's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
