Sue Carter Nicholson, 77, of Laurel, MS passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Timeless Grace Personal Care Home in Carriere, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, March 19, 1946, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel on 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place at Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Bro. Ira Ford Nicholson will officiate. She was preceded in death by her father, Barnett Carter; mother, Wilma Collum Carter; sisters, Rebecca Carter and Mary Lurie "Penny" Walters.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Travis L Nicholson; sons, Shane Nicholson (Samantha) and Trent Nicholson (Lynn); grandchildren, Jackson Nicholson (Elizabeth), Taylor Nicholson, Carter Nicholson, Baylie Nicholson, Jillian Nicholson and Ashlee Nicholson.

Pallbearers will be Trent Nicholson, Jackson Nicholson, Carter Nicholson, Justin Fincher, Shane Nicholson, and Bernard Fine.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly request that memorial contributions be made to the Gideon's International Ministries or the Alzheimer's Association.
