Syble Inez Cohen, 88, of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel. Born on August 25, 1937, in Laurel, Mississippi, Syble lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. J. Pacey Cohen; her parents, Charles and Erian Breedlove Short; her brothers, Willis and Gene Short; her sisters, Sue Walters, Margie Holifield, Jewel Lyons, and Pat Brown; her grandchild, Cory McInnis; and her great grandchild, Nathan McInnis.

Syble is survived by her son, Glenn Keith, and her daughter, Denise McInnis. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Amanda Keith, Tiffany Keith, Dylan McInnis, and Katie McInnis, as well as her great grandchildren, Aaron McInnis, River Jankowski, and Luna Jankowski.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location. Syble will be laid to rest in Lake Park Hills Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi.
