Ted Williams, 82, of Laurel, MS passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born Tuesday, July 23, 1940 in Stringer, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 4593 Indian Springs Road, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM. The burial will take place at Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Stringer, Mississippi. Bro. Joey Miller will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Williams; mother, Lena Mae Downs Williams; brothers, J.B. "Shooter" Williams, J.E. Williams, Glendale "Hoover" Williams and Truman "Jap" Williams; sisters, Bonnie Coley, Lela Mae "Sis" Trubbill, Eva Rae Coley and Nell Summers.

Survivors include his son, Joshua Maxey (April); step-sons, Robert Butler and Mark Butler; step-daughter, Nina Walley; sister, Bobbie Jean Rigby and nephew, Mark Williams: nieces, Libby K. Williams, and Tina Williams Helms.

Pallbearers will be Stan Gregory, Jason Christian, Rusty Garrett, Mark Williams, Brad Myrick, and Kelly Baker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Adams and Austyn Sumrall.
