Teresa Joan Powell, 64, of Florence, Alabama, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Magnolia Place in Sumrall, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, June 16, 1954 in Collins, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville and the Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Mike Cochran will officiate. Teresa was a free spirit. She loved her family with all her heart, although she had a number of storms in her life she lived life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Powell and father, Sonny King, sisters, Rita Gail King.

Survivors include mother, Peggy Joan King, sons; Jason Powell (Alisha), Tony King, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, sister, Tammy King Ruiz (Greg), and 2 nieces.

Pallbearers will be Greg Ruiz, Teresa Shows, Bobby Wilkins, Robert Dale Stringer and Randy Pabolini.
