Thomas David Dyess, 69, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 20, 2026, at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living in Ellisville, MS. He was born on March 12, 1957 in Laurel, MS.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Delor Dyess; grandparents, Hubert and Dovie Ulmer, Leroy and Ruby Dyess.

David is survived by his mother, Rachael Ulmer Dyess Hughes; sister, Sonya Everett (Doug); niece, Heather Rowzee (Austin); nephew, Eric Johnson (Tiffany); great-nieces, Parker and Tatum Rowzee.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 27, 2026 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, in Laurel, Mississippi, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM at the same location, with burial at Sharon Cemetery. Bro. Chris Floyd will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.
