Tobis Leighton Cooley, 21, of Laurel, Mississippi, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, May 14, 1996 in Laurel, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel with burial to follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Dr. Jim Taylor and Bro. Leighton was a very generous and giving person. He was a 2014 graduate of West Jones High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Soso, MS. Leighton "Coolpop" will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tobis and Myra Jan Cooley and Lemuel Marvin "Marty" and Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Herrington. Survivors include his parents, Tobis Randall "Randy" Cooley and Angela Herrington Cooley, Laurel, MS and sisters, Meagan and Madelyn Cooley, Laurel, MS along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members. Pallbearers will be J.T. Hodgson, Donovan Pope, Cody Corey, Hunter Nicholson, Kolton Wardell and Jacob Roney. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sharon Hunting Club.
