Warren Sherrill Baker, 86, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. Born on July 12, 1939, in Laurel, Mississippi, Warren lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Odom Baker; his son, Stephen Baker and wife Meredith; his daughters, Elizabeth Pierce and Stacy Blackwell with husband Joey. Warren was a proud grandfather to Christina Lykke and husband Paul, Jacob Gage and wife Robin, Robert Valentine, Joshua Gage and wife Rebecca, Mason Valentine and wife Alyn, Erin Rayburn and husband Jon, Shayne Eeks, James Baker and wife Desereigh, Shawn Baker and wife Angelina, Trace Blackwell, and Whitney Pierce. He also leaves behind and a host of great-grandchildren.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ina Windham Baker, and his siblings, Charles Baker, Louis Baker, Archie Baker, Beatrice Nix, Claudine Tanner, Lois Gaskin, Doris Cooper, Carolyn Rogers, Louise Gardner, and Barbara Gaskin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location, with Bro. Shane Singleton officiating. Burial will take place at Lake Park Hills Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be Robert Valentine, James Baker, Shawn Baker, Trace Blackwell, Jon Rayburn and Joshua Gage. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.
