William Ervin Phillips, 82 of Laurel, MS passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his residence in Laurel, MS. He was born Sunday, March 15, 1942, in Jones County, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 10:00AM at Lake Park Hill Cemetery in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow in Lake Park Hills Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342.

He was preceded in death by his son, William T. Phillips; father, Earl R. Phillips; mother, Ruby Walters Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Walters Phillips; sister, Betty Jo Long; granddaughters, Heylee Newell (Gary), Madison Phillips and Josie Phillips; great grandson, Levi Newell; great granddaughters, Ali Benoit and Brooke Benoit; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and daughter-in-law, Monika Phillips.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Fitzgerald, Larry (Shot) Fitzgerald, Scott Shelton, Grady Sims, Jason Phillips, and Mark Norton.
