Wilma Jean Hardin, 85, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, February, 16, 1932 in Stringer, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 9:15 AM until 10:30 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville and Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. She served for 40 years as the Taylorsville manager for MS Regional Housing Authority. During the 1970's, she organized the Taylorsville Senior Citizens Nutrition Program. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville and loved the fellowship of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. In earlier years, she enjoyed being a member with her friends of the Green Sprout Garden Club of Taylorsville. She was preceded in death by her husband John S. Hardin, parents; Clinton Sims and Ruth Jackson Sims; brother, Donnie Sims; sister, Geraldean Peddicord. Survivors include her son Joe Hardin of Taylorsville, Mississippi and a host and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry King, Mike Bryant, Kim Bryant, Mike Windham, Bucky Walker, and Rodger Pardue. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Blakeney, Phillip Skinner, and Robert Windham.
