Tyler Yarbrough

Tyler Eli Yarbrough, 4, of Laurel, Mississippi, died Thursday, March 15th, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Laurel, Mississippi with a Mass to follow at 7:00pm. Father Ignacio “Nacho” Jimenez will officiate. Visitation will also be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 1:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel with funeral services to follow at 2:00pm. Bro. Jamie Aultman and Bro. Matthew Powell will officiate. Interment will follow at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342 Tyler was an exceptionally smart young man. During his 2nd year of life, Tyler learned to say the alphabet, learned the colors, shapes, and planets, learned to count to 100 and to count by 10’s and by 100’s, learned to recite the alphabet backwards, learned all 1st 100 sight words, all 2nd 100 sight words and learned to read the months of the year and the days of the week. Overall, he learned about 250 words. In his third year of life, he developed a great love for trains, especially “Thomas and Friends.” He liked to read children’s books. He also particularly loved going to school with his teacher, Kristy Gandy. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Natividad Fuentes Rincon, Omealca, Veracruz, Mexico and cousin, Rylan McCraney. Survivors include his parents, Hollis Yarbrough and Herminia Fuentes Yarbrough, Laurel, MS; sisters, Britney Yarbrough and Melany Yarbrough, Laurel, MS; grandparents, Danese Walker (Freddie), Laurel, MS, Hollis Yarbrough (Annita), Laurel, MS; great grandparents, Rachel Jones, Laurel, MS, Howard Walker (Dorothy), Laurel, MS; aunts and uncles, Kristi Yarbrough, Meridian, MS, Andrew Yarbrough (Megan), Laurel, MS, Dalton Yarbrough, Meridian, MS, Michael Yarbrough, Meridian, MS, and Miguel Sanchez and Clara Bendito of Omealca, Veracruz, Mexico. Pallbearers will be Jose Luis Mixtega, Adalberto Lucas, Morgan Moncivais, Andrew Yarbrough and Darrell Brewer. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Blair E.
