Freddie Meador

Freddie Meador, 69, of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away peacefully Monday January 18, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, April 29, 1951 in Laurel, Mississippi.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Calhoun Cemetery in Laurel, MS with burial to follow in Calhoun Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Bryant will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. (601) 649-3342.

For over 30 years, Freddie worked in the oil industry. He loved his family and friends dearly and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Mamie Meador; sister, Charlotte Meador.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Jan Crocker Meador; daughter, Amy Beard (Barry); Grandchildren, Lindsay Letson (Jared), Lauren Thompson, Jadon Beard, Aaron Beard, and John Thomas Beard; Brother Gerald Meador (Bonny); Host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
